OS Server Assignment "loss" from Simatic Project

DesignTech Experienced Member Joined: 9/6/2008 Last visit: 8/4/2023 Posts: 177 Rating: (1)	Hi All I am having a problem with WinCC v7.0 in conjunction with Simatic Manager v5.4 SP4. I have an Engineering Station at the customer, were I work on the project which contains all the PLC's, Server, Redundant Server and Clients. When I backup the project and retrieve it to my laptop I get a server assignment glitch when I check the assignment. (see attachment) The onsite engineering station has the same computer name as my laptop (I don't know if this is related to the problem). Does anyone have any thoughts on my issue. Always happens when moving project on different ES, i have no clue abour diferent station with same name . Regards

LBC Automation Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Initially, I had to archive and retrieve because an issue with the SQL database causes Simatic Manager to lose an entire server reference in themultiproject tree. Having the same issue after archiving and retrieving on the same computer. Not sure why the system doesn't handle this for you. It looks like it is expected and pretty typical. If you hit help on the assign server window, it will bring up the bad news and all the additional work you will have to do. (Also attached a pdf scan).
