Over heating modules of ET-200S with CPU 315-2PN/DP

Anil Mali Posts: 22 Rating: (1)	I am using CPU 315-2PN/DP with ET-200S I/O modules. Last 5 Days we were running plant on above configuration. But today 1 analog madule show SF fault. after switching PLC power Off. and start then SF fault was removed. Analog modules are getting heated. My question is why this modules goining into SF fault??

Or diagnostic of the module (if it have). Which kind of module? Is that module wired properly? What about the wiring of corresponding power module? Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

Anil Mali Posts: 22 Rating: (1)	Dear, I told in my 1st post we were operated plant on PLC and After 5 days ET-200S analog module going in fault mode. and module heated more,,, If wiring was wrong then plant not running on PLC. my question - is it any I/O limitation of ET-200S with S7-300 series PLC.? beacuse my PLC panel have proper air ventilation. so why this modules get heated?

I believe you should take the advice of someone with almost 10000 posts. I'm only half way, but can tell you the same thing : Check that all is mounted. wired by the book, it's normal that modules get warm, but overheating means you are abusing the system.
