PetrNowak Experienced Member Joined: 8/3/2021 Last visit: 4/17/2025 Posts: 125 Rating: (5)	I do have a loop from 1 to 30 accessing some HMI Tags connected to PLC Tags (see enclosed printscreens). If the last value of the loop is 30, it works ok. As soon as I raise the last value to anything from 31 to 100 I got an error: "Overflow i in line 25 of called script" and "Tag DB41_Estimated_Time_steps: overflow, values are lost." I don't understand why at all.... Any idea? Help? TIA Portal V16, WinCC Comfort, HMI TP700., PLC S7-1200. Attachment aaaSnap.zip (310 Downloads)

PLC tag: DB41_Estimated_Time_steps ARRAY[0..100] of DInt Connected to HMI tag: DB41_Estimated_Time_steps And this HMI Tag is accessed in VB script: For i = 1 To 100 SmartTags("DB41_Estimated_Time_steps")(i) = 0 Next This loop throw error "Overflow". After few hair tearing days I've finally found solution: - it's not error of array index overflow - it's not error of assigned value overflow - IT'S ERROR OF VB SCRIPT ENGINE NOT ABLE TO PROCESS ASSIGNMENT SO QUICKLY - it's necessary to insert some waiting cycles into loop !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really LOVE this awesame VB script, really.... <angry> !!!!!!!!
