Overwrite trend with new data in taglogging

I am monitoring some important values in PLC with 100ms cycle and by an event I send it to OS with ARSEND function. Is is possible to overwrite the data in the archive with new values everytime the send event is triggered? Thanks for help. schnek

Every time PLC sends an ARSEND packet, the process values are packed with time stamp attached. TagLogging recordthe PLC time stamp and not the PC time stamp under Archive Fast. Do you want to keep the size of archive low or you want to filter/change the values before they go into archive? You can buffer ARSEND packets and trigger a script to process/rearrange the values using internal tags before they go into archive. Dec

By this ARSEND function I record some failure states which occure randomly about once a week. I would like to save last 5 occurencies of this failure. Then, I would like to give the operator the possibility to choose, which occurence of the event he would like to see. Firstly, I wanted to do this by one archive, but this is uncomfortable, because the operator would have to seek the recorded event in the archive backwards. I think better solution would be to have 5 archives, which would represent 5 occurencies of the event. Then I would let the PLC select the archive, into which it would send the data. But I do not know, how to get rid of the old data in the archive.Do you maybe have another better idea how to do it? Could you please give me a hint, how to trigger a script to process the values using internal tags? Thanks a lot! schnek
