Hello TopCat4692, as far as I understand the Product sheet at the SE&A Page this device only supports MODBUS TCP, I guess as a MODBUS TCP Slave. MODBUS TCP is also supported with the S7-300 and S7-400 as soon as you use the MODBUS TCP loadable drivers. Check this FAQ: How can you establish OPEN MODBUS / TCP communication via the CP343-1 or CP443-1 and where can you find further information? Best regards J_Bell |

PAC3200 supports SEAbus TCP and modbus TCP. So it should solve the issue if modbus TCP is selected. https://www.automation.siemens.com/cd-static/material/info/e20001-a460-p307-v2-7600.pdf |

Hi J_bell Seabus is a Siemens protocol used in "Access" power product such as power meters. I think itbelongs to CD(low voltage) division. It allows power meter values to be accessed by a supervisory device and also configure the device over the bus. Seabus TCP as youimagine isthe protocol ported over to ethernet. I have used SEAbus devices withS7 PLC using Siemens SPI unitas a SEAbus to Modbus-RTU gateway. Here is excerpt from 4700 power meter seabus reference manual. __________________________________ The SEAbus protocol is an open software communications protocol for two-wire, RS-485 networks. An RS-485 network consists of a single bus supervisory device and up to 32 field devices. Short communication packets (packets) consisting of 5 to 260 characters can be sent and received at various speeds. Adding SEAbus communications to a device provides remote access to the information collected by the device. All configuration and setup procedures that are possible at the device can also be executed from a remote location over the communications link. |
