Thanks for your support, Im looking the information you sent by the link, now I have another doubt, what about the IPC477D? Is this one also compatible with the obsolete? What is the difference between the IPC477C and the IPC477D? Which one is newer and more powerful?
Thanks againfor your help |

Hello, the IPC477D is the sucessor for the IPC477C. The IPC477D is newer, have new Processor Generation and new masstorage Options. The IPC477D is only working with Windows 7 (Ultimate and Embedded) no Windows XP supported! For a exact order code you should provide what exactly you will doing with this IPC.

Thanks for the feedback. Im not an expert on this matter, I just know that the actual panel -which order code was mentioned before- is obsolete and I was looking for a replacement. The project isone that is already working, speaking about the requirements, I think it will be just neccesary to have the same characteristics of the old one, I suppose that the project could be migrated by the WinCC software to bypass the old operating system –XP to Windows 7-, correct me if I’m wrong please.
These are the main characteristics from the old panel according to Siemens Mall.
SIMATIC PANEL PC 477 15" TOUCH DISPLAY, 1024 X 768, STANDARD FRONT W. USB INTERFACE AC 110/230V POWER SUPPLY, WTH NAMUR, POWER CABLE EUROPE, PENTIUM III 933MHZ; 133MHZ FSB, PROFIBUS DP 12; 512MB SDRAM, W/O 2. MASS STORAGE, 1 GBYTE COMPACT-FLASH, WINDOWS XP SP2 EMBEDDED
I know this isn’t enough information to fulfill my request and apologize for that. Hope you can light me a little more about this upgrade. Regards |
