Sergio Paganoni Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi There, I've developed in VS2010 an HMI software that dialog with a S7-200 PLC, all work great until I had to continue develop it on a Windows Server 2008 machine. The problem is that I can't even run the solution, when I try to visualize the mainGUI of the program, the VS2010 installalled give me the following error (see screenshoot): ------------------- Unable to cast COM object of type 'System.__ComObject' to interface type 'OPC.Data.Interface.IOPCBrowseServerAddressSpace'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{39C13A4F-011E-11D0-9675-0020AFD8ADB3}' failed due to the following error: Interfaccia non supportata. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE)). -------------------- I've also tried to build a setup and install directly on the WS2008 machine, but a similar error code came out once I've tried to open the exe. I used the SiemensOPCdoNetLib.dll API, found under the PC-Access directory and I developed using C# with the .NET version 2.0, it's maybe this API (incompatibility with OS?) that cause this error? It is recommended to downgrade to Windows Server 2003, in such case. There was a recent discussion on the forum recently (one of many, use the search box on the right and look for windows server 2008) that you might find helpful: /tf/WW/en/Posts/23219 hope this helps, Daniel Chartier
