PC as HMI

Hello,

I amb a new TIA PORTAL user. I want to create a project and use my pc as HMI.

I used to do it with WinccFlexible, I only needed to select Device/PC/Wincc flexible Runtime.

Is is possible to do the same with tia portal? I cannnot find that option when I try to add an HMI.

I don't see the big problem?

You need a HMI connection
(see manual:https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109091876/73393100939)
and the PG/PC interface must be set correctly (to the right network card, not PLCsim).

Can you ping the PLC?

BTW: WinCC flexible RT for PC is now "WinCC RT Advanced".
