PC hangs after CP 5613 A2 error and doesnt start up

Fazal Posts: 35 Rating: (0)	Dear All, We have the following configuration on site: Rack PC 847 B CP 5613 A2 card plugged in PC is connected to S5 155 H PLC through Profibus The PC was commissioned in August, 2008 and it was working fine till last week, however it has started to hang and when we reset, all the LEDs on the panel of the rack PC is ON and the PC doesnt boot up. One of the errors just before the PC hangs is the following: ------------ CP5613A2_1<- CP5613A2 (PROFIBUS) The internal CP data is written to the file C:\program files\siemens\simatic.net\CP5613_CP5614\logfiles\EXCP_CP1.bin! ADM-send-DRV-Datptr DW_Para1:0x000000ad DW_Para2:0x0000d123 ------------- The error keeps changing every time we reboot. I've attached the latest EXCP_CP1.bin file. I have updated the BIOS of the PC to the latest version, that didnt help. Then removed the card and rebooted the PC, however all the LEDs are lit for around 15-20 mins and then the PC starts and works fine. The strange part is we have exactly same redundant rack PC and CP 5613 card along with this PC and same software is running on it too and this PC never had any problems and its working fine. Well, the diagnostic information could be better understood by Technicall Support (Support Request). But meanwhile we could think what is not the defect. Probably you don't have another CP5613 but you could do the following: 1. Install the Software and CP5613 in another PC and test if it works there or if the same problem happens. 2. Reinstall the software in the original PC and test: a. without CP5613 b. with CP5613 So we could know if the problem is the CP or the PC. Probably is the CP. If you have a spare CP you could change and see if the problem remains. Good Luck Regards Mario Braganca

CI_DLL FW nicht gestartet -> Exception EXCP: K_init_data_ackneg -- 0x2 --0x33 I have tried to search for the error code or some indication on how to fix this problem but cant find anything. Were you able to resolve your problem?

wolves and hawks Posts: 531 Rating: (34)	On the old case I would speculate that the bios battery might not safe all data correctly and then start up fails. On the new case I would asume it is more likely a hardware fault (FW firmware fault).

I have been testing with diagnostic tools and properties of the Set PG/PC Interface program installed with the SIMATIC PC software. When i read using the diagnostics tool. The PC hangs. I did notice to day though that it only hangs when there is a profibus cable connected to the PC. If i remove the cable the diagnostic tool reads. I have installed and reinstalled a few time trying different PCI slots, Tried every thing i could think of like Fazal did. Any ideas way this is happening and what i could do to fix this problem? If it is firmware, how is it possible for the firmware to become faulty? and is there a way to re-flash the firmware ?
