PC - PLC+CP open TCP communication.

Impisi Advanced Member Joined: 1/26/2009 Last visit: 3/14/2024 Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	Good day everyone, Can the open TCP communication blocks (i.eFB65 "TCON",FB66 "TDISCON",FB63 "TSEND",FB64 "TRCV") be used with ethernet CPs instead of the CPU integrated PN port? If not, how can I establish a TCP connection & communication between a PLC(via an ethernet CP) and a PC or 3rd party equipment? Equipment to be used: CPU 414-2, CP: 443-1 Advanced. Thanks in advance.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Phumula, depending on the Advanced CP you use you may also use the T-Communication to run TCP Connections on the CP. But in this case the number of Connections and the maximum data size is very limited. Alternatively I would recommend the use of AG_LSEND and AG_LRECV with configured TCP Connections. You may learn more about it if you read the NCM S7 manual for Industrial Ethernet. Here are some samples: How do you configure a TCP connection on the S7 side (CP x43-1)?
