PC runtime advanced

Hello

I have on my work computer TIA Poral V13 and WinCC Advanced and for my project I have a WinCC Runtime advanced license on a PC station connected to a network with PLC, both computers are running on windows 8.1.

When I was going to download my project to the runtime on the pc station I started up the WinCC runtime loader and started the transfer connection.

Then I went to my work computer and started TIA portal where I selected to download to the machine, buth then I get no connection to PC.

I have been able to ping connection to the computer but from TIA Portal I get no connection.

This is what I have been trying:

disabled both the internal windows firewall and the northon security firewall.

change the network connection from public to private.

configure the PG/PC Interface

Does somebody think of something that I am missing or something I am doing wrong ?

Can you give more information abaout the Network?
How the WinCC PC and your PC are connected? Direct with cabel or you use Router or WiFI/Wlan?

For now I am just using the ethernet port on both computers with a regular switch.

If you cannot get a connection you can also do an offline Transfer. look at this FAQ:

So do you have installed the same Version of TIA portal on Runtime and Engineering System? (same Servicepack and Update)

Should I now use the WinCC advanced to start the pdata file ?

And yes I have the same version on both computers

I figured it out, I think there was a problem with my project. Because I was using a file wich was created with an older version and I couldn´t start it.

But I made a new copy with a new version and it all works out. Now I just have to plug it to the network and see if I can get it to communicate with the two plc I have.
