PCMCIA Card MPI Adapter Users beware !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply but I need the additional voltage created by the PCMCIA card.

I already also have USB to MPI adapters but they do not work with all ports.
The PCMCIA solution does.

well this is a real Problem. You already mentioned that the USB Adaptor needs Power from the RS 485 side, this is true. It even needs more than a usual RS 485 Interface can offer because it uses the 24 V DC provided by CPUs or the Repeater PG Interface.

To tell you what I know, it is no solution in sight for this yet. I do not know one.The easiest, but a bit expensive way is to useEthernet instead. This works with nearly every NDIS Complaint Adaptor, even USB.[;)]

as said already once... nice idea but even if it would work it would only work with CP 5511 because your adaptor only supports 16 Bit and not 32 Bit Interfacesn (as it is written on the Page). [;)]
