Hello guys, another problem for me: I have a PC (pcs7 7.1) with a CP5621 card. I want to connect this to CP443-Basic of my S7-400 controller. CP443-1 is not necessary for now, just want to get started and test. 'Problem: I can't connect to CP443-5B module, no online connection can be established Steps I have taken: - A PC station is inserted and configured with index 1: CP5621 and index 2: Wincc application - PG/PC interface is set on PC internal - In netpro a S7connection is made from ES station/index 2 to the S7-400 controller. - PC station is compiled and downloaded correctly, the station configurator on the PC is active - S7-400 is reset completely to ensure no system data exist. - I select the S7-400 controller and want to download the hardware. I see the screen that the system is busy with connecting. In the end i'll get an errorsaying a connection could not be established. The help file also says something about SDB module is in the wrong mode, that is one of the problems why connection is not possible. What to do next? Am i missing somethinh? Thx again best regards |

Hi Sandor-CRX , CP Profibus Basic is no more supported from PCS7 v7, as well as Mario Bragancasaid, and as well as in PCS7 documentation reported "PCS 7 - Released Modules". With mario suggestion you'll be able to comunicate maybe, but that solution has not been released and tested from Siemens. Good luck Regards |

Thank you all for your answers. Well, one thing I want to say: change TIA to TNIA: Totally Not Integrated Automation. Damn: - three different versions of Wincc - PCS7 which you need to sacrifice everything for on your laptop... in the manual it's says you can't even put your laptop on standby because of problems that can occur.. - Every PCS7 version is not really compatible, like the problem that I have right now - No support of older modules etc. - Ohyeah, I worked with Simotion... completely different from pcs7 and the regular simatic manager. Well, just buy new components to work with then, Now i hope that the firmware of my modules and controllers are compatible with pcs7. I'm afraid to check on that, because for sure...it will deliver me problems. So frustrated... Thanks for the reply! |
