PCS7 and WinCC flexiable 2005

VictorWang Posts: 20 Rating: (1)	Hi, I would like use WinCC flexiable 2005 China Standardand MP 277 together with PCS7 on my plant, and integrate them into one project, but i have several questions as below, do you have this experience on this and share your experience or best practice with me? my PCS7 version is V6.1+SP2+HF1, and STEP7 version is V5.3.3.0. -May I install WinCC flexiable 2005 China standardand PCS7 on same PC which is my ES? -Is WinCC flexiable 2005 compliance with PCS7? -If I get a new WinCC flexiable 2005 Advanced, how to update WinCC flexiable 2005 China standard to this new version? Need I remove WinCC flexiable 2005 China standard prior to the installation of WinCC flexiable 2005 Advanced? thanks very much in advance. BRgds Victor

Yes, you can install it, but not to integrate flex project into PCS. Even installation isn't 100% that can be done successfully. It would be possible to have troubles with installation of SQL Server for WinCC. Remove standart version and install advanced. regards

I think I excetly understand your means,and yes, installation of SQL server for WinCC is a bottleneck, but it would be OK if installation of WinCC prior to WinCC Flex, quick update thatjust try to install Flex 2005 on ES and installation is successfully, and a test project have been intergated with step7, but I don't know if WinCC flexiable 2005 compliance with PCS7? Did you imported WinCC Flex project into Step7 in ES? If answer is yes, is everything works properly? Did you checked? regards

VictorWang Posts: 20 Rating: (1)	Hi UMENCHO, sorry for reponse lately. About my project, PCS7wasinstalled several monthago. Now I want to install WinCC flex on this ES, and at this morning, I just install WinCC flex step by step on default mode. WinCC flex can install integrated tool by itself, after installation, you are able to find a transfer to Step7under WinCC Flex menu/ project. today, I create a blank project and transfer this one to step7, meanwhile, I haverun step7, wincc, hardware configuration and wincc runtime, it seems like OK and work properly. I would likereplace WinCC flex 2005 China standard to WinCC Flex Advanced to solve language compliance in this week. BR Victor

VictorWang Posts: 20 Rating: (1)	Hi, quick update as below: I installed WinCC flex 2005 advancetogether with PCS7 v6.1 on my ES, and merge a flex project into pcs7 project,it seems like work wellfor the time being, just the color of poping up box and an icon of licence manager are changed now.
