canan.tas Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Dear ABN, Thanks for your prompt reply. I have immediately tried the suggested methods but couldn't get any result. My problem is also mentioned in that document which you had sent: SQL server does not start when a project is opened. I also cannot start it manually. I tried to check the security mode of the SQL server from the Enterprise Manager, but couldnt open the properties block. Instead of the properties block, following error window had come, "A connection could not be established to OS1/WinCC. Reason: SQL Server does not exist or access denied.". I think my root problem is with the SQL Server, isnt it?

Please check the computer name from properties of My computer is your windows login is same as that of the before problem accured? can you just go to Microsoft SQL Server->Enterprise manager -> and send the screem shot for the same?

ABN Posts: 212 Rating: (12)	Dear canan.tas , you can check one of the options 1. I can see one option now to add one more SQL Server Group via SQL Server Vizard. OR 2.reinstall the machine. OR 3. You can run enableDcom.zip which is attached herewith.also find the information in attached link related to this error. I think you can try to remove ALL Siemens Application, then reinstall PCS7. Anyway, what Siemens suggest in this case is a complete reinstallation entire PC (faster if you have original PC image). REgards

canan.tas Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	I have shot my last bullets (installing enabldcom.reg, removing wincc flexible) but it didnt help. I think, as you have said also, only option is to reinstall the complete system. Shall i first format the pc or shall i install without formatting?
