PCS7 Server - Client : Client Picture not responding

romeo291 Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	I had this problem before, it could be a sharing and security issue. If it says "No Connection to the Server Data", then that means your computer cannot see the OS server. You'll have to check Simatic Shell in "My Computer" (bottom foler below all the drives) to see if you have the settings correct so that you could see all computers in your network. One thing you might want to try is right-click on the "START" button and click "Explore". Try to navigate into your network and see if you can access the folder on the OS server that contains all the graphics. That's the "GraCS" folder. If you can do that w/out having a logon screen popping up, then it's most likely a sharing and security issue. You have to enable all clients access to the project folder on the OS. They need to have access to the SIMATIC HMI group and SQLServer2005MSSQLUser$computername$WINCC group. Get to this from right-clicking on "My Computer" Go to "Manage", then go to "Local Users and Groups" and you should see all the groups. Goodluck.

GG2 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Thanks. The details are. We have PCS7 V7.0. OS has 2 redundant srevers Make (DELL). There are 5 clients. Servers are working fine. We are able to operate the OS and plant functions from Serevr. The communication of server with Clients is also OK. We put the Clients on RUn time. We are able to see the welcome screen on client. But when we press the button to change the picture, it is not possible. We can see the alarms on the Clients. Can you suggest something.

Can you disconnect all clients except one from the network and try if it works? Also, can you try after creating a temporary client on the ES. Regards

Claes.E Posts: 1 Rating: (1)	HI! Have you started the WinCC Server project locally or remote!? If they are started from remote via remote desktop then you have to use the /console command. Otherwise the WinCC server application is not runing in the right layer on the server and that causes problem for clients. //Claes

CBo Gold Member Joined: 4/5/2006 Last visit: 3/18/2023 Posts: 917 Rating: (63)	Hi Danielle is right, if that will not works try the follow. if you are not able to change picture on Client station means doesn't have access right to Server, you have few things to check: 1) all station has to be configurated with sameUser (Windows Group & User) 2) all User has to be same password over all station (mmake easy to connect automatically between Server/Client) 3) all user has to be configured in "SIMATIC HMI" Group (in User & Group permission) 4) check the "WinCC\aplib" folder into PCS7 installation folder is shared w/ "SMATIC HMI" Group enabled Regards
