Helllo PKK; An error message " An update is presently not possible. In one or more STEP 7 applications at least one GSD file or type file is being referenced" indicates that Step 7 cannot modify its own file structure while ypou are trying to add a new gsd file to your project. GSD files are stored in a specific directory (...\projects\gsddata\gsd) of your project, and if any project is opened in HWConfig you cannot write to this directory. The procedure for installing a gsd file in a Step 7 project can be seen in the following document: How do you integrate a GSD file into the STEP 7 HW Config for PROFIBUS or PROFINET? https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/cn/en/view/2383630 Notice the first image, HWConfig is open, but the background is blank, because the project has been closed (Menu Station/Close). Once that is done the installation should continue without problem, and you can integrate a new gsd file. Open the station you are working with once the gsd file is installed and insert the slave in the Profibus line, as usual. Now, another point: you are working with a S7-400H CPU. If this is a redundant pair, you have dual Profibus masters with a single-port slave, you must use a Y-Link to connect them: How is the Y link structured? https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/cn/en/view/43688632Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
