PCS7 V8.0 SP1 and Process Historian

AutoGen_252793 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi Everyone, My customer is facing a problem with new reinstallation of PH/IS Server (ProcessHistorian and InformationServer working together under win2k8R2. But they want to backup all historical data already archived on server. In Manual chapter 3.6 there is only few pages according of the backup/restore of the segments. What should be procedure to backup all data from PH/IS server then reinstallation of system and software and again restore/import that data into the system. Because I’m a little bit confused, about procedure. Regards MF

You need knowledge of handling "MS SQL Server" Database. rough procedure: 1) make PH Database backup 2) uninstall PH/IS or new PC installation 3) PH/IS new installation 4) restore PH Database Regards

Adam_3002 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Ther is no information in any manual. We have the same problem, on PC witch is installed HS + IS. IS is not warking any more, so we need to reinstall PC but We have no detailed information how to do it. The information in database are important, and we need 100% assurance that after restore SQL all data will be in PH again. AutoGen_252793: Did You make the reinstalation? Regards AS
