PCS7 v8 compiling error CH_AI and this block not found in v8.0

amerelect Advanced Member Joined: 9/24/2010 Last visit: 11/27/2024 Posts: 27 Rating: (1)	Dear Experts, I have a project which has been created in PCS v 6.2, and i using pcs7 V 8.0 with update I try to compile this in PCS v7.0 V 8.0. But every time "Generate Module Driver" error. the error message : Necessary files are missing for [ block CH_AI ] please note that you have to install exactly the same version of the library as the one this block was imported from. SO i searched for CH_AI & CH_AO & CH_DI & CH_DO blocks but in pcs7 v 8.0 i can't find this blocks in the pcs7 library so where these blocks in this new version and whate is the Alternative blocks. and how to solve this problem please sent me photos in solving this problem. i will be grateful for any help best regards

Red Alert Posts: 23 Rating: (1)	This means that you have not installed the V7.1 library, which you can get during the software installation of your V8.0 update 1. Install properly and try, you won't get this error... by Red Alert

amerelect Advanced Member Joined: 9/24/2010 Last visit: 11/27/2024 Posts: 27 Rating: (1)	thanks Red Alert I solved the problem by instaling pcs7 v7.0 library from the old software and every thing is ok you are right thanks alot any one love help. but i have some questions, first how to updat my project with this last version of library? then how to replace the blocks in all programe like CH_AI block should i replace one by one and repeat the connections? last while i instaling the library i instale CH_AI block for update version and while compiling i get another Error message 400e9 [ the programe contain signal processing blocks from different libraries ] so ........... How to Decide which library i can work with ? and in help said [ You can call the corresponding object properties of the applicable blocks in the block folder and check their version in the "General - Part 2" tab.An invalid mixed mode is given if V1.0 (for the old driver concept) and V2.0 (for the extended driver concept with XML) exist concurrently, for example.] i can't understand this message please help me with attachment photos to understand this message..... thanks everyone

Perhaps your last item will be cleaned up with the update. However, if not, inspect your blocks in the blocks folder (Check the Authors column, be sure to not have mixed authors DRIVER60 and DRIVER71 for example).

I tried to install pcs7 v7.1 library but I face error during installation. My OS is windows7.Your kind help to how to have V7.1 library in PCS7 V8.0 is grateful. I attached the error screen shot! mortisa Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi I have installed PCS7 V8.0 on my windows 7 and trying to migrate CH_AI from my old project in PCS7 7.1,but when I compiling 'module driver function' error is coming.I tried to install PCS7 7.1 library in PCS7 V8.0 but I couldn't install it even manually. do you have any idea? You need this setup because otherwise your OS is not supported.

Normally other engineer never use PCS7 AP V.8.2 Library in my company. But l insert new chart then l use 1 valve block and 2 CH_DI in this chart. when l compile , compile has a error. then l delete this chart with valve and 2 digital input block. l try again but compile error still exist. Error say :Necessary files are missing for [ block CH_AI ] please note that you have to install exactly the same version of the library as the one this block was imported from. After , l searched all chart for find CH_AI from AP V.8.2 Library. but l never find CH_AI block from AP V8.2 library in all chart. l look simens support and read all advise . so l did one this thats l sent you in attachment. you can see Error photo and what l did. As long as the FB number didnt crash with your current one, it will be fine. However, you must do one thing, to install the library. There is a installer to installer all the required module driver files and registry in to your system drive. So now, you need to clean the block from the chart database. When you move a block from library to your folder, you are moving a block into your offline block folder as well as the chart database/folder. When you delete it from the chart, the block is still exist in your offline block folder. The proper way to clean it is, go to CFC editor-> option -> block type-> Clean up read the instruction, clean the FB that is causing the error. Then it will be fine.
