In OS under @@PCS7Typicals.PDL,I want to Edit the customized object for motor i.e. to modify the block icon for motor object,instead of M in the @Motor/1 ,i want to show there Motor icon from the library.how is it possible? i hope you got my question? Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	SKR: Are you familiar with customized objects?If yes, proceed as follows: (If no, read the WinCC manual). Copy the motor icon to a new blank PDL. Do not modify the original @@PCS7_Typicals.PDL. Right click on the icon and edit customized object. Right click on MOTOR_Status object and click configuration dialog. In assign pictures tab delete the assigned emf’s or bmp’s and substitute your custom bitmaps. When done, select all the objects and right click and finish editing. But the thing is thing i was doing it creating .bmp files and then changing the pictures in "Assign Pictures" in configuration dialoge of Customized Object. I want to know how to create .emf files where I can export the objects from library and save in the Gracs folder as *. emf file. i hope you got my doubt. Thanx in advance regards SKR

Just select object to be exported and do file export. Just the selected object will be export to an emf file (with proper dimensions). If no object selected export will export the whole pdl. Maybe in earlier versions the handles/selection boxes also got exported but since I have been working with PCS 7 (v6.0) I have not seen this as a problem. cabreytj

I was trying to place the object from "Siemens HMI Symbol Library" in a pdl,and trying to export it as an emf file,but its not working out. I tried the objects from"Plant elements" in Libraray,thats happening. Thanx in advance SKR

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	cabreytj: Thanks for the input. If I remember correctly, with certain combinations of colors and objects the "handles" do get exported. Try the connector object for example. I am not able to recreate this problem but I did face this (probably in older versions). SKR: For exporting symbols from Siemens HMI Library, you drag and drop the symbol to a PDL, adjust the attributes (color, shading etc.)and export to emf. I have attached some sample emf's I exported.
