PCU50 (6FC5210-0DF22-2AA0) blank screen

SammyMah Member Joined: 1/14/2010 Last visit: 9/11/2015 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	We have Sinumerik PCU506FC5210-ODF22-2AA0 that startup with a blank screen, the screen indicate no power to the screen. -WE HAVE A BLANK SCREEN WHEN WE TURN THE MACHINE ON, we cannot see any POST codes, or memory check testing upon main on of power. - WE VERIFY THE SCREEN IS OK, BY CONNECTING A LAPTOP TO THE SCREEN, IT IS OK. - we try different screen attached to the PCU50, nothing, blank screen when turn on. - we try differentmemory, nothing. - sometimeson start up, it will give one beep, pause, then three beep, pause, then three beep and still blank screen. - we verify the PCU50 does not boot,because it does not connect to Windows Network (cannot see shared folder). - we try external PCI video card in the machine, it does same as before, beeps with blank screen. - twice, it did work, but the screen was 'washed' out from left to right and red in color. The screen would be frozen, and would have to turn off the machine. What else can we try?

Pee Ell Sea Posts: 672 Rating: (57)	Hi, Don't want to sound defeatest but it looks like it's goosed Not much you can change on the motherboard. Check all internal supplies are available and maybe change the processor. You haven't got anything to loose. Maybe one of the third party repairers can fix it.

The screen has a washed out with red streakfrom left to right. Shutdown, and restart, now the PCU50 gives one beep, pause, three beep, pause three beep. Any idea what the beeps mean? I cleaned the inside of the motherboard with air, and remove/reseat the CPU. All fans are working. Disconnected all plugs externally, except keyboard and monitor, even remove Hard Drive. Same thing. Anything else I can test? Has anyone else experience the same problem?

I also extract the procesor from the slot and put it back. I was thinking to heat the motherboard with a hot air station maybe this will work.

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (484)	Hello, Does power LED green glow in operator panel ?? Does your MCP is healthy i mean no flashing in it.... I hope you connected external monitor and checkedand screen is notcoming.... Could be the powersupply defect... try replacing with the other PCU and check Regards, Prakash
