PDF printing in HMI

Hello All,

I am using printer driver pdf to convert a csv file to pdf on the HMI. My problem is that it is taking too long to convert this and the time taken is propertional to size of the csv file, sometimes even 20min. During this time my HMI is completely hanged up. Is there any alternative to this method?

do you have to do the conversion csv to pdf on the panel itself? 

You could log to a network folder or memory device and do the conversion on a pc.

If you need to convert on the panel you could wait with the procedure untill you have a time where nobody need to use the panel (for example at night). You can use a "Scheduled task" (Trigger = Daily, with a default or backup timer to specify the time).

You could also try to print to html instead, maybe that format is lighter on the panel worload?
