Dh_1811 Posts: 24 Rating: (0)	Hi, I would like to know whether it is possible to move more than one variable at a time like with the MOVE block but instead using the Load and transfer function. e.g the MOVE block can move several variables at a time CALL BLKMOV SRCBLK :=P#I0.0 WORD18 RET_Val :="TAG_5" DSTBLK:=P#DB1.DBX0.0 WORD 18 I would like something similar with Load and Transfer function as it supportsperipheral addressing and can thenskip the cpu scan.

Unless you want tu use a loop with pointers and address registers, BLKMOV (UBLKMOV) is the only method of mass data transfer. Hope this helps. Regards.

This is so that the my code does no become long and also limited when I start adding more PAC3200 Meters. Any suggestions as to how I can apply the two using another method?

First method is to go to CPU properties and enlarge size of the process image. In this case you can use BLKMOV. If this doesn't fit your requirements, there are two other methods for PI indirect access, both described by our expert friend hdhosseini in the following thread: Move data (pay attention on the last post). I have looked at the "move data" thread and the methods look like its only moving one variable. I would like the mass data transfer feature that is capable with the BLKMOV as this is neater, especially when im dealing with 30+ pac meters. So I cant achieve mass data transfer and peripheral addressing then?

Hello, I always provide a minimum comment if I have time.Here in the source provided you have: A DB that keeps the copy of data and defined as array of 8 cells Loop to do the iterate same task 8 times initial address register with cell in byte number zero and bit number zero Open a target DB Data transfer in loop increase the address register for next cell recall loop counter for next iteration if it is in range These were all intended to achieve.
