PG Port Not available

This is have only Eprom port. Please any tell me how to upload the program from the above mentioned CPU. I want to convert the exsisting S5 to S7. There is any option to upload the program from s5 and any other cable details is avilable for that. Regards Strongs

I have attached a Manual of the S5 130 system. Unfortunately it is only in German. These PLCs did not a PG port on the CPU. Instead there was a seperate 511 PG module installed in the rack. You should be able to go online using a PG with TTY port and 15Pin to 25Pin adaptor cable. If you do not have the PG card installed, then the only option may be to take out the EPROM and read the contents using a EPROMMER. Good Luck !! Its having 50 pin Port. Any possibiltes can i upload the program from CPU. If its possible please give the instruction. Thanks in Advnce Regards Strongs

You will need a pg630 or pg670 to get online or a pg675 providing the parallel software pg675-P0 to read the eprom module. After reading the eprom module i recommend to print the S5 program and creat it anew in your destination system. Please check for timer and counter modules; these will appear as di and do in the S5 program. It is NOT possible to read the eprom module using a current Step5 program. Good luck
