PID control in S7-300

Michele Vie Posts: 25 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts ! I am a beginer of PID control in S7-300. I already read some document about PID control at this forum and manual for PID. I try to study PID sample (zEn01_13_Step7-temp) . I want to know why can not open almost FB in this project ? (My PC already install S7-SCL ) it shows message " this block is protected" . Do these FB have SCL code inside? Do I have to study SCL language to implement PID project? I intend design a PID project with 3 mode control correspoding 3 PID loop. mode1 - PID1 mode2- PID2 mode3-PID3 During process only one mode active ( other mode and other PID deactive) correspoding one PID active. Can I implement this PID project with basic PID? Please help me ! Thank You Inadvance!

polle12 Posts: 38 Rating: (1)	You can't open PID blocks because they are KNOW_HOW_PROTECTED by Siemens. PID blocks are created in SCL language but you don't need SCL language to use them (I recommend to use FBD language).
