PID for heating and cooling at the same time and Autotuning

Hello,

I have to manage the thermoregulation of some zones that can be heated and cooled at the same time.

Thephysical regolation must take place through two PWM outputs for each zone.

The PID parameters of the heating must be different from those of cooling.

I thought to use two "PID_Compact" blocks for each zone one working in reverse of the other and which the same PV and the same SP.

The logical output "Output_PWM" of the block will be connected to the physical DO.

It's clear that, in this way, it could be that PWM DO heating and cooling will be active and the same time (customer expert in process confirm that it is correct!).

In your opinion is my logic correct?

What is the best mode of doing autotuning (using TIA Portal integrated features of PID_Compact)?

"Initial optimization" or "Fine optimization"?

A PID loop (Heating or Cooling) at a time with the other off (but it would not be the real situation of work)?

A PID loop (Heating or Cooling) at a time with the other active (but with what parameters..)?

Both PID loops (Heating and Cooling) simultaneously (but is it correct..)?

Do you have some sample or library to correct manage thermoregulation heating and cooling?

Any other idea easier to thermoregulate a zone using two PWM outputs (one for heating and one for cooling) at the same time is welcome!

For now I have programmed the system with a double PID running but I can't do any test in field because system is not already active.
