PID State ?

When you start the installation and you open the Commsioning window you have to alter the Controller state to actually get it in auto mode in your software. Few weeks ago I have made a little change in the software and now after a power cycle the PID controller is stuck in manual mode. Only option for me is to go on site and 're-activate' the PID controllerthrough the commisioning window ... I noticed this behaviour before, why dous this happen and how canI prevent it ??? PS, using TIA V11 SP2 Hello xBigGx, There is a topic that discussed this issue in details,I suggest reading the topic and check if it helps: How can you prevent the PID Compact controller of the S7-1200 from switching off when the controller is switched off and on again and in the case of invalid process values? You can try "sRet.i_Mode" variable saved in the IDB corresponding to the loop.You can check if it works via a watch table and checking the current mode pllus status/error outputs.More can be found in online manual "Parameters State and sRet.i_Mode". Also I suggest checking: TIPS for PID (FB PID_Compact) Best regards, Hamid Hosseini
