PID_temp fb in TIa portal 13

IsoXL Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi.. I have only one simple question about Tia portal V13.... I´m trying to find PID_temp fb from step program, but i cant´t find it.... Does basic installation include this FB. I can find PID_Compact and PID_3step FB:s . I´m thinkin to use this PID_temp to control heating/cooling zones and that fb i will use if i can find or maybe install it.. I have Tia Portal V13 update 6 in my computer... JLA

Next question is : can you use PID_3step controller same way that PID_temp..... to control heating and cooling devices....? because 3step -controller is made for controlling valves... JLA

APPshnik Advanced Member Joined: 12/1/2015 Last visit: 2/17/2025 Posts: 12 Rating: (1)	PID_Temp in TIA Portal 13 is available only for S7-1500 CPUs which have firmware version 1.7 or higher. It means if you have S7-1500 CPU that has firmvare version 1.6 (for example) in your hardware configuration, you aren't allowed to use PID_Temp in your program.
