Baron You can download the 135U manual and at the back there is a pin lay-out on the PLC side ( this lay-out for TTY should be the same for all siemens S5 PLC's).For the 25 pin connection you should get the pin lay-out from the manufacturer or on the internet. Eric |

Hello Baron; About the need for a repeater after 50 m: AS511 uses TTY, or current loop communication layer. Here is an extract from a website decicated to serial communication formats: The 20 mA current loop is suitable for distances to 2000 feet (650 meters) at data rates up to 19.2k baud with careful attention to interface design. It can be used at longer distances when data rates are as low as 300 baud.
