Hi... We render the models to obtain static images (.bmp's). Here's what it looks like in the end. Oh.. all objects have colour animation. AttachmentAF1 - Carvão.zip (250 Downloads) |

Hi aguere, We use Blender 3D. It's a free open-source modeling software. http://www.blender.org/ As I said, it's totally free, and it's constantly updated. You'll just need a lot of video memory, and the more complex your models get, the best your rendering computer will have to be. Sometimes we nees several computers to render some cenarios. |

It's definately not small! That one in particular has 483Kb. If you don't use Graphic Objects to represent your plant elements you'll see a large difference in size, since using 3D in this way does use several .bmp's. However we already used graphic objects for some background elements, so the average size of the pictures remain the same. Some files actually got smaller. This is one of those: the 2D version had 695Kb. The more of your screen is taken by bitmaps, the larger it will be. Here several customers demand their screens to be "cute". Some specifically demand 3D. Before using this software we'd end up spending a lot of time customizing objects. It simplifies the drawing process. I don't usually like using the perspective on that screen. I find that in most cases a front, top or side view will allow for better representation, and easier understanding, and that's what really matters in the end. But even for those kinds of view we use blender. I've attached a front view of ours. AttachmentAF1 - Glendons.zip (251 Downloads) |
