Planning expansion with ET200S (Best solution: CiR, Option Handling, spare modules)???

Eastern Posts: 557 Rating: (64)	HI Modifying the System during Operation via CiR Modifying the System during Operation via CiR CiR (Configuration in RUN) represents a method you can use to modify a system that is operated with a standard S7-400 CPU or an S7-400-H-CPU in single operation. Modifications are made while your system is in operation, that is, except for a small interval of at most 2.5 seconds, your CPU will remain in RUN mode. Regards

cebernal Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi Eastern thanks for your answer; However I have read from PCS7 Engineering Manual (http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/36050990 section 4.8.7) and it says that it is not possible to change configuration parameters in RUN with ET200S (only add a completely station); I tried to do it with the PLCSIM (no with real modules because we haven't bought them yet) and it seems to work (no error message appears). I would like to know if somebody have tried to do this on real hardware (configuration change of a ET200S input or output channel using CiR); Please imagine the following situation: You have to connect a new sensor to a free AI HF Channel (6ES7 134-4MB02-0AB0) that was previously configured as a 4-20 mA (4 Wires) input, but you found out that the new transmitter is a 4-20 mA (2 Wires) and want to do this change without stopping the CPU (we will work with a AS S7-416-2 and PCS7 Cemat). All your comments are welcome.
