UNDER XPPROF/VISTA " Whatexception is in place for XPPROF/VISTA? The five languages? WinCC doc says that XPPROF/VISTA are valid for standalone systems.

I do nto understand what exception you are looking for. Are talking about " EXEC. UNDER XPPROF/VISTA "

Then it is not 'exception', it is "execution/executable"

WinCC 7.0 can be installed as a stand-alone (Single user system) or client with the following OS

Operating system

Configuration

Comments

Windows XP

XP Professional Service Pack 2

Note the software prerequisites of the delivered SIMATIC NET version.

Select the operating system language as the Setup language.

Windows Vista

Vista Business

Vista Enterprise

Vista Ultimate

But if it is a WinCC Server, then you need

Operating system	Configuration
Windows Server 2003	SP 2
Windows Server 2003 R2	SP 2

What you have is a Runtime license of WinCC for 128 tags. IF this is the only WinCC license you have then you can use it either as a stand-alone system (beware, there is no configuration license) oras a client. In both these cases, it will have to Win XP or Vista.

Now for 5 languages:
WinCC has only been released for operating system languages of German, English, French, Italian, and Spanish or multilingual operating systems.

WinCC has been released as the Asian version for operating system languages of English, simplified Chinese (PR China), traditional Chinese (Taiwan), Japanese, and Korean, or multilingual operating system, respectively.

Now, what you have is the normal version (not asian) so those 5 languages of OS are suppported.

It isunclear whatspecifically is being excepted for XPPROF/VISTA. I understand that WinCC can only be single user for those operating systems, but I do not think the given text is referring to that limitation.

Hello bjc; Youwere provideda very good explanation about the use of the "EXEC." term in the license description above. It means EXECUTABLE. "Executalble under XPprof/vISTA" in this case.
