i jus got a pg710 plus and a 101u s5 plc. But i wondering how do i write the program on the pg orcan i get a windows based program for the plc? |

You need step 5 on the pg to write to the s5 plc along with the cable |

Siemens S5 PLC does not use RS232, it uses TTY signals for communication. With standard PCs, you need a RS232 to TTY converter to communicate with PLC. But PGs from Siemens has TTY converter inbuit. Normally on PG7XX, COM1 is a DB25 pin connector, this can be used to connect to PLC.
