PLC Connection to MP 370

soussia Posts: 63 Rating: (1)	Hello! I’m new at SIMATIC S5 programming and I have a question concerning the PLC communication with MP 370. I transfered the program to the MP 370; but the problem that i can't control the machine from the MP 370. so there is no communication between the panel and the cpu CPU: s5 943 panel: MP 370

What are the connection details of the cable between CPU programmer port and MP370 ?

Which port are you using for MP370 to PLC communication. ? You should be using IF1A ( TTY ) with following cable :

	Cable from S5 CPU ( TTY I/F ) - to - TD/OP7 (TTY)

Hello You should check the following : a) Have you selected the correct S5 CPU in Protool Configuration ? b) Have you selected the correct port in Protool Configuration ? ( Pl See Attachment ) c)Is the MP370 Comm port OK ( Is it communicating with another CPU for example ) ? d) Is the CPU Port OK ( Is it communicating with PG or another HMI ) ? There are different FB's for each type of S5 family CPU. Kind regards, BV Thanks BeVee Hello soussia Yes if this is a new setup then you do need to load the Std Function Blocks relevent to your CPU and call them according to the attached, Manual Extract.
