PLC hasn't started up

Mahmoud Hola Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello every one,,,, I'm looking for help for my problem, I have a 3 axis deckel maho milling machine with a siemens control 840D. The machine stop working cause one worker, who had replace the battery, and the software started to give us alarms and acting strange ,,,, any way we here decided to restore the NC, PLC first we had cleared the NC and PLC data by the procedure on module 5 (Power On - Power Up), which has a lot of steps on S3, S4 keys. and then we have the alarm 2001 PLC has not started UP I have been tried many times to restore the back up for PLC but I couldn't do it and I followed the instruction in one topic here with an attached file (Creating NC-PLC archive backup in PCU50.3.pdf) but I believe that the interface is different from 810D and I'm totally new with a hopeless outside help. Please help my people and be aware that I need a detailed clarification for the procedure.

This is because the PLC's memory is cleared. After you reset the PLC and the NC, you should read in the archive you created using Menu>Service>Series Start-Up. If you haveseparete *.ARC files for the NC and the PLC, try to load first the NC and than the PLC. In the document you atached, the procedure is to create and archive file. Now you need to "Read Start-Up File". I hope this help you. Best regards, Tiago Russolo

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (484)	Hello, The clearing steps are same for 810D and 840D but please ensure after clearing you are loading the archive files. Even you can load you PLC step 7 project and check also. Regards, Prakash
