I have to communicate with 30 numbers of individual slave units (CPUs) and one master PLC for some data synchronization. My network media is Ethernet so is it possible with S7-1200 both master and slave or should it go S7-1200 (slave) with S7-300 (Master) please somebody help me to solve this matter.

Sorry, but your description is very confusing, and I don't believe we can provide much help until we have a better understanding of what you are trying to do.

You want to communicate over Ethernet but you speak of masters and slaves... do you intend to work with Profinet, or Industrial Ethernet functions (which work peer-to-peer, not master/slave)?

Please clarify your requirements, maybe provide a sketch describing the setup, so we can discuss this further.

What I understood is that you want to network a bunch of PLC (S7-1200) over Ethernet.

Andall these PLC will exchange some data with a centralized "MASTER" PLC (S7-1200/S7-300), right?

There are several solutions SIEMENS has to offer and we will try to guide you into the right direction.

Are you so kind and provide us with some more details/requirements of your application?

A requirement could be for example: Data storage and time stamping in the "SLAVE" PLC's.

If you have any of these requirements, pictures or function description that would be very helpful to us.
