Hello arunsampath; Every S7-300/400 CPU uses a Diagnostic buffer to log events that the CPU registers when processing its program or communicationg with its modules. Here are 2 ways of opening the Diagnostic buffer of a S7-300 or S7-400 PLC, using Step 7 programming software and a proper communication cable (PC Adapter or communication card in the PC): - In the Simatic Manager select the menu PLC--> Module Status - In HWConfig, in the Online view, double-click on any module or slave that shows a red cross over it (sign of diagnostics). See Chapter 23 (“Diagnostics”) of the following manual for a complete description: SIMATIC Programming with STEP 7 V5.5 An example of diagnostics with the Diagnostic buffer can be found in this FAQ (it is applicable to all S7-300 and S7-400 CPUs): Detailed analysis of STOP of the S7-400F/FH CPUs The S7-200 Maintains a History Log of Major CPU Events
The S7-200 maintains a log that contains a time-stamped history of major CPU events, such as when power is applied, when the CPU enters RUN mode, and when fatal errors occur. Your time-of-day clock must be configured in order to get valid time and date stamps on the log entries.
To view the Event History log, select the PLC > Information menu command and select Event History. Hope this helps, |
