PLC s7 1200 password protected, few questions

Posts: 45 Rating: (0)	any one please send me the lonk for how to take back frm plc to sd card. few questions also plsa inorder to clarify myself: i had a PLC s7 1200 which is passwor ptotected. a) can i take the back of the password protected program on an sd card and let me know the procedure for that . b) can i use this program which is copied on the sd to another siemens s7 1200 plc by simply inserting this card . or i had to do any other setting. please send me the procedure c) also how to flash the password protected plc using as sd card. regardsa antony

Version 11 SP2 and knowing it is older means the plc firmware is "likely" FW 2.2 minimum, and FW 3.0 possible. Is it possible to connect to the plc via a web page? If that was enabled, you can get more details about the hardware so you know the way the plc with respond to having a memory card inserted. A regular SD card will not do what you want. Inserting a Siemens memory card will halt the plc so do not insert it while running. Normally it will move the running program to the memory card and now your plc will not run. To learn the specifics on memory card usage, refer to the section in the s7-1200 system manual regarding "Using memory card", which in version 04/2012 is section 4.5.
