PLC S7-400 and 2 HMI Communication Problem

Hotz 70 Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Dear All, I have a problem with communication between S7-400 that connect with 2 HMI (MP270 and MP377) using profibus communication. MP270 is an existing HMI with Protool Programming and MP 377 program is identic with MP270 program. MP377 (WinCC Flexible) program is converted from MP270 (Protool) Program. When i try to connect Both of HMI to the PLC S7-400 using profibus communication, all data is showed in both of HMI. But, in New HMI MP377, the recipe name is not show in recipe name table, even though the recipe name is show in old HMI MP270. I try to check tag address between existing program in protool and new program in WinCC Flexible, but the tag address that used in recipe table is identic. Data type for recipe name is using String,with tag address like this "DB32.DBB146" and String Field Length "12". My Question is, why the recipe name can not showed in my new HMI, but in Old HMI data still can show in Recipe Name Table, although i have check tag address between existing program in protool and converted program in WinCC Flexible is identic? Are There any setting if we use data with data type "STRING"? Because the data that can not showed in my new HMI is only data with data type "STRING". Is there relation between data with datatype "STRING" and Project Language of HMI Program. This existing program is using Germany as Project Language Default. I have try to change Project Language to English, but it have no influence. I have try using WinCC flexible runtime of my new HMI program (MP377) and Simatic Manager runtime. I try to simulate with adding character to the data address of recipe name using Variable data. The result is recipe name is show in recipe name table winCC flexible runtime. But when i connect to the real PLC and old HMI MP270, recipe name is can not show in my new HMI MP370. I need your help to solve this problem, if there is somebody has an experience like my problem, please share in this forum. Thank you and Best Regards..

Eastern Posts: 557 Rating: (64)	Hello, if you are using standard utlity of receipe of wincc flex than receipe name will same in HMI. so you have to manually save in HMI.

In this problem, the data that cant showed in my new PLC is data with datatype "STRING". Do you have any solution for this problem? Thank you...

Eastern Posts: 557 Rating: (64)	Hello, In winCC flex if you go enhanced object-you will find recipe view. which is standard feature of wincc flex. See in attached doc. Try following in youri/o field property. 1) Format type - string 2) string field length 3) in crease format pattern check the property of tag. Data type is string type also lenght should be same.
