Hi experts!

I'm trying to test the algorithm of my PLC (S7300-CPU:315 – 2PN/DP). Now I need to test the communication between this PLC Simulation and an OPC server. Software employed:

SIMATIC S7 - v5.5 SP3

PLCSim v5.4 SP5 Upd2

SimaticNet v8.2

Esentially the question is, how can I connect a PLC simulation to the OPC server?

I tried to connect a PLC simulation to a HMI simulation and it was working nicely... I heard that it is just because the PLC Sim and HMI Sim just simulate until the 4^th layer of the OSI model. That is what Step7 needs to connect 2 simulated elements wich use S7 communication protocol.

So if the straight simulation connected to the OPC is not working, is there any other solution based on SIEMENS software or third party software to create a complete connection between the PLC simulation and the OPC server? (bridged on the network or based on virtual machines, everything will be welcomed)

At the end of the day, I will need to communicate 2 PLC (at the beginning, after will able to be more) through (and this is important) an OPC server.
