PLC UNREACHEABLE.

@success Bronze Member Joined: 8/1/2016 Last visit: 9/5/2022 Posts: 152 Rating: (5)	Dear all, I have an S7-1200 1214C PLC, it was in operation suddenly when the 3 LEDs started to blink I then try to connect to the PLC but it no longer responding. I try to ping, yet no response. Please, what can I do to bring this PLC back? Thanks in advance. Regards, Success.

What does the 3 LED blinking pattern mean according to your S7-1214's manual? My experience is: PLC is dead PLC needs a power cycle PLC needs a break (like 30 minutes or more of no power) PLC needs a firmware update (which may be possible using a S7-1200 compatible memory card) PLC network connection may have a problem PLC project may not have OBs to allow error handling and diagnostics reporting within the program logic, so it goes perhaps into maintenance mode because of a connection module failure. Try disconnecting all modules connected to the S7-1214 (I/O modules, signal board, comm modules), and power up the PLC to see if it comes back to life. FYI, I listed them in the order of usefulness / likelihood - again, from my experience @success Dear all, I have an S7-1200 1214C PLC, it was in operation suddenly when the 3 LEDs started to blink I then try to connect to the PLC but it no longer responding. Hopefully the topic starter was able to locate the system manual for the s7-1200 on their own and find this information without being handed the fish. If not, maybe some day they will be learn to fish on their own. Hi Einstein. The previous post bated the hook and handed @success the fishing rod. No fish was gifted or promised, in my view. I have not had a CPU with multiple LEDs flashing in error that did not have a short circuit somewhere. So my personal experiences will not add much weight. Mostly this forum has reported "flashing" LEDs for cases of memory card faults and AC power connected where DC power is expected. Assume I am a betting man: It is an AC powered PLC that got fried by some upstream power surge. (We install surge arrestors as standard.) The inner circuit got damaged enough that the CPU cannot startup. Did I mention?.. I have up to now not won a single dime with any Lottery I have played. Best health to you.
