PlcSim on a network

MemoGG Advanced Member Joined: 2/20/2009 Last visit: 7/6/2022 Posts: 53 Rating: (0)	Hi Everybody, I would like to run plcsim on a Pcs7 network, I mean together with real PLC 400's, is this possible? and if so, is it possible for the pcs7 server to read, display and control tags from plcsim? Is there a specific configuration to follow to acomplish that? So far, I have been able to create the project configure the plc (I don't know exactly which parameters to assign to ethernet configuration) but anyway when I call Wincc from the server (to check if plcsim is communicating) its objects remain grayed and the connection status says 'Disconnected' (connection to other plc's are alive, though). CBo Gold Member Joined: 4/5/2006 Last visit: 12/4/2024 Posts: 917 Rating: (63)	Hi MemoGG , yes, you cam use PLCSIM and REAL PLC in same time, but: 1) PLCSIM works locally ONLY: means you need PLCSSIM and WinCC Server on same PC 2) PLCSIM works with MPI connection only up to v5.3; it works with Ethernet connection from v5.4 3) it's no possible connect WinCC to PLCSSIM installed on different station You can compile OS normally for real PLCs and change connection to ethernet for PLCSIM Regards
