Please help DI8 / DO8 (323-1BH01-0AA0)

Hi,

I started out by using a DI32 in slot 3 and a D032 in slot 4, I had to give these modules to somebody else and was giving a DI8/D08 (323-1BH01-0AA0) module to use. In my original SCL code to read the DI32 I would use the command

Var_name := PIB0;

After I performed this read I would write the following commands to the DO32

Q4.0 := 0; // TURN OFF HEATER

Q4.1 := 1; // TURN OF THE FAN

Shown below are to questions I have:

1-Where can I find a manual for this new card?

2-How do I program one port as and input and the other port as an output?

3-Would I use the same commands as before?

Thank you for your reply, when the new module was given to me I was told that the ports were programmable. Now that I downloaded the document you supplied I can see that they are not. I will compile the new setup and send it to the PLC again.

Hi Hristo,

When I said the port is programmable I meant that I would have to define which pins on the DI8 / DO8 were going to be assigned the function of being inputs and which were going to be output’s. After examining the link to the document you sent I see that the first group of pins are fixed as inputs and the second group of pins are fixed as outputs. One thing that I found strange on this module is that the first group of pins are assigned BYTE 0 and the second group of pins are also assigned BYTE 0. When I was using the 2 different modules (DI32 & D032) the DI32 was assigned BYTE 0, 1, 2 and 3 and the D032 was assigned BYTE 4, 5, 6 and 7.
