PM250 with external braking option?

Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 4/17/2025 Posts: 6008 Rating: (827)	Hello, no a PM250 does not have terminals to the DC link which could connect a braking chopper/resistor as this is not required for a power module which is able to feed back energy to the grid. (I think in your case you wanted it because of the UPS) Maybe you should use another power module or drive system. Maybe it would also make sense to contact your local Siemens sales partner to search for a suitable solution for your usecase.
