PNIO_SEND problem

MAugust Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi everyone, I recently started working on a project involving Siemens S7 hardware (without previous knowledge in that field). For this project I set up a configuration with a CPU 312 using a CP 343-1 Advanced as IO-Controller to connect to an ET 200M as IO-Device with an DO16xDC24V/0.5A attached to it. So far, everythin seemed to work just fine. IO-Controller and IO-Device are communicating constantly, sending empty PROFINET packets (as I saw using Wireshark) and every single device is diagnosable using the Siemens software. Next, I wanted to just set one of the DO-Bits to 1 and wrote the following code to do so: UN A 0.0 (This should not be the problematic part I guess) = DB1.DBX 0.0 CALL "PNIO_SEND" CPLADDR :=W#16#100 (Adress of the CP 343-1 is 256 in my configuration) MODE :=B#16#0 LEN :=2 IOCS :=P#M 71.0 BYTE 1 DONE :=M72.0 ERROR :=M72.1 STATUS :=MW73 CHECK_IOCS:=M72.2 SEND :=P#DB1.DBX0.0 BYTE 2 After having read the relevant Siemens documents this code looked alright to me. However, when I copy it to the CPU and switch it into run mode, it stops immediatly giving me a red "SF" LED. Since I am far from beeing an expert in industry automation with Siemens, I would be very thankful for any advice! I am currently somewhat clueless about what I did wrong. If any further details of my configuration are helpful, I will be happy to provide them. Best regards, M. MAugust Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, thank you for the reply. I have indeed downloaded DB1. It contains a byte-array of length 26 - that should suffice I gues. Sadly, the diagnosis buffer is not very helpful as it only states that the CPU is allowing access to the peripheral hardware and then immediatly locking it again (I guess this is due to the failure of the program). This is, at least with the knowledge I have, not a big help. Best regards

Which organization blocks do you have to load into the CPU to ensure that the CPU does not go into the "STOP" status when a remote I/O fails? When you use the Organization Blocks, there might be more information in Diagnostic buffer Best regards, Wizard

MAugust Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, thx for the hint, that kind of solved the problem. Via the diagnosis OBs I found out, that for some reason FC11 had not been downloaded to the CPU. After fixing this, everything worked. Thanks a lot!
