Hello, For a project i am using the posinput 2 module. (6ES7 551-1AB01-0AB0). The sensor connected to this module is a Balluff BTL7 positioning rod. (Datasheet in attachment) As i can read in the datasheet the BTL 7 module can be used in IP and DPI mode. Depending on the length of the start pulse. The posinput module supports SSI and TTL. How can i achieve reading out the position of the rod? I dont have any experience with using the posinput module. The BTL7 rod is a special edition, thats why i need to use the posinput module to read out the magnet positions (2 magnets). Greetings smargana AttachmentBalluff BTL7.pdf (310 Downloads) |

Hello, when you do not want to get position information for a TO (Motion Control) and you want only measure time difference, there are measuring functions available with Posinput 2. 2.2.2 Measured value determination The following high-accuracy measurement functions are available (accuracy up to 100 ppm): • Frequency measurement with the unit of hertz • Period measurement with the unit of seconds • Velocity measurement with a flexibly adaptable unit • Complete SSI frame instead of a measured quantity https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109813005 |
