Abhay Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Dear Friends, I am having problem with Positioning Module of ET 200S. ( Type No. 6ES7 138-4DL00-0AB0 ) I am reading Encoder of 2500 PPR using 1POS U, used for Rotory Shear application. It is used with Relative Positioning mode. but while rotating the encoder with high RPM arround 100 rpm. it will miss the pulses and it will not give the trigger pulses for Switch_Over and Switch_OFF diffrences. i want to energies two diffrent Output's for diffrent counts value compared with encoder actual counts with are read with poistioning module. i am reading that encoder in OB 35 with Scan cycle time 15 mSec and PLC Scan cycle time 30 mSec. Hardware Details, CPU : IM 151-7 6ES7-151-7AA20-0AB0 1 POS U : 6ES7 138-4DL00-0AB0 24 VDc Encoder: P&F 2500 PPR 10-30 VDc. any suggessions are welcome.

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 6/9/2023 Posts: 2969 Rating: (1025)	Hello Abhay I must admit I havn't used the 1POS (6ES7 138-4DL00-0AB0) card yet, but am wondering whyyou say "it will miss the pulses"if run @ 100 rpm. 2500ppr @ 100 rpm is just over 4 kHz and the 1POS card is capable of 100 kHz with a 24V incremental encoder, so i am really a bit at a loss to find an explanation for your problem. For now I can't really give you any advise, but perhaps someone else might and it would be helpful if you could advise further on your handling of the shear (e.g. are you trying to change the Setpoint whiele the shear is in operation?) and/or upload your program here. Abhay Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Dear Sir, I have solved the problem of reading the encoder in relative positioning mode using 1POS U. i am facing the problem while comparing the encoder counts with perticular value. I want to compare the encoder counts with the counts corrosponding to perticular point (Pt. A) during every revolution of rotory shear, so that i can change the referance to shear within the cutting angle.i am using normal comparator as IM 151-7 is not supporting High speed counter SFB 29.normal comparator can not compare the counts at such high speed.is there any other way to compare the counts with this frequency. Please give me the suggesion. Thank You.
