Possible to upgrade STEP5 v6.65 to latest version ?

Jesper Pedersen Posts: 279 Rating: (30)	Hi. We have a PG720P that is nearing the end of its useful life (onboard battery dead, screen losing lines etc.). There is a STEP5 v6.65 on it, and we wonder if we can take it out and install it an our regular PC (with Windows XP). There seems to be no authorisation on the PG720P. Question: Is it possible to upgrade this version of STEP5 to the most recent version that can run on Windows XP ?

I guess that I need to order this:

Upgrade for PC/PG (with authorization diskette).

This upgrade requires STEP 5 Basic for PCs V6.5x or V6.6x or STEP 5 Basic for PG (V6.6x or older)

6ES5894-0MA04-0UG4

Just to be absolutely sure that I dont go and order something wrong:
When I have to install the license, will the authorisation program ask for the CD with STEP5 v6.65 or ..??

Or will it ask for a a license floppy like there is for the newest software ?
As you probably know, there is no license floppy with the STEP5 v6.65 on the PG720.

With Protool, you had to provide the installation CD of the previous version. Ipresume then that it will work similarly.

Jesper Pedersen Posts: 279 Rating: (30)	Yep. 6ES5894-0MA04-0UG4 is correct. But it will cost more than 1000 Euro (egad !). Then add the costs for an external prommer and a TTY cable. (double egad !!)
