Power Supply setup

What kind of setup i have to build when i have a two 230VAC power feeds (main and backup) and i whant to own power supply to CPU and ext.cards and other power power supply IO field loads.

Okay, i have to install "PS" power supply to slot 0 and "PM" power supply to where? DIN rail or can it be left side of "PS" power supply?

Other way is to install two "PM" power sypply's and one is feeding system power and second is feeding field load. Correct?

Split from TIP: Load power supply (PM) x System power supply (PS).

Hello,

PS is System Power Supply ( giving power to IO modules via back-plane) and PM is Power Module(Load).

PM is not mandatory, even you can use SITOP  to power on CPU. Its provide power to modules and IO with 24V DC via front wall mounting.PM always in slot number zero.

PS is mandatory if you exceed CPU current limit.

You can place PS either in slot zero or wherever required in hardware configuration as per power budget calculation in TIA Portal.
