Power to the transmitters

Dear Guys,

I am facing almost same issue.

We have 2 wire loop powered current transmitters in the field. The Channel is not providing power to the transmitters.

Using Signal source (FLUKE) we are able to simulate the signal by setting the fluke to source and it works but when I set to simulate transmitter I am not getting any values.

In the S7-1200 system manual (Latest) it is said on page 910 that "Current input channels will not operate unless external power is supplied to the transmitter"

Can I place a 24VDC supply between channel and Transmitter as red markups in attached sketch, or is there some other way to do this.
